Martin G Fallowfield

Martin is the owner and founder of the Smile Oralcare practice. He moved to the area in 1981 and founded his own practice in 1983. For 17 years he helped it grow into a highly successful enterprise. Martin then decided that the time was right for a new kind of dental practice. Oralcare was developed over a 4 year period and finally came to fruition in February 2001.

He is a gadget freak and has more than a passing interest in wines.

Martin particularly enjoys aesthetic (cosmetic) dentistry and working in partnership with patients to prevent dental disease. He is a practitioner of Hypnosis and uses a fast-phobia-cure for other phobias as well as dentistry.

Outside of the practice Martin is currently working for Denplan as their Professional Liaison Officer. Previously he had strong links with the British Dental Association, where he was a member of the Principal Executive Committee and going on to be Chair of the BDA's Principal Executive Committee (PEC) from July 2012 until February 2014.

Jignesh Panchal

Dentist

Jignesh graduated from the University of Liverpool and was awarded the prestigious Frank Lawton medal for excellence in operative dental surgery.

He is a Peterborough local, having attended Sawtry Community College and The King’s School.

As well as providing general and family dentistry, Jignesh has a particular interest in dental implants. He has undergone extensive training in order to provide wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, bone and gum grafting. Jignesh regularly travels all over the globe to learn and discuss the latest and safest techniques in dentistry.

Jignesh's gentle and relaxed approach makes him very popular amongst patients and always looks forward to welcoming new clients to the clinic.

Carol Roberts
Administrator/Receptionist

Carol has known Martin since 1992. Working as his dental nurse at Cathedral Square.

In 2001 Carol came to Martin’s rescue working as his nurse and receptionist while his nurse was on maternity leave.

Carol then left the practice to pursue her own carer running her own Fancy Dress Business in March Cambridgeshire, but she still kept popping back to provide relief cover.

After selling her business in 2008 Carol returned back to the practice as a dental nurse, until 2011 where she became the Practice Manager.

Carol is normally the first person to greet you when entering the practice.

Karen Perrot
Martin's Dental Nurse

Karen is Martin's Nurse; she joined the practice in 2011 after working for many years as a dental nurse in Spalding. She has an enthusiasm for dentistry and after taking her national qualification she went on to gain qualifications in Radiography, Oral Health Education and Sedation.

Since being with Oralcare she has taken courses in extended duties and can now also remove sutures, take impressions and construct bleaching trays.

Jacqui O'Rourke
Hygienist/Therapist

Jacqui qualified as a Hygienist in 1989 and went on to take her qualification in Dental Therapy at Liverpool Dental School in 2005.

She worked for the practice for many years and also previously with Martin at Cathedral Square, leaving for a short while but returning to us in 2012 Patients are delighted to see her return as she has come to know many of them very well over the years. Jacqui works at the surgery every alternate Thursday, offering late evening appointments.

Juliette Reeves
Hygienist

Juliette is an award-winning dental hygienist and trained nutritionist with over thirty years’ experience having a special interest in the treatment of gum disease and the care of dental implants. She qualified from Birmingham University School of Dental Hygiene in 1981 with further study at the London Hospital Medical College. She studied nutrition with Patrick Holford at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 1993.

Juliette has lived in the Peterborough area for the last 42 years and had worked with Martin from 1982 to 1996 at his Cathedral square practice.

Juliette trained in Switzerland and the US in the latest treatments for gum disease, dental implant care and the maintenance of cosmetic dentistry. She is one of only two dental hygienists in the UK to hold the ADIA Implant Auxiliary Certification. She is an elected council member to the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and a member of the Education Committee.

She is senior UK tutor to the EMS Swiss Dental Academy and clinical director of Perio-Nutrition. She is an international speaker and media spokesperson for a number of multi-national corporations including Philips Oral Healthcare and Wrigley.

Juliette received a lifetime achievement award for Outstanding Contribution to Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2014 and was honoured to be the proud recipient of the prestigious Dr Gerald Leatherman Award. She is passionate about cooking, music, art, travel, writing and dentistry!
